Baosteel (China) increases the cost of stainless steel

Management of the Chinese steel company Baosteel Group Corporation who occupies one of leading positions on the world steel market, decided to increase the price of stainless metal for delivery next month. In particular, significantly more expensive stainless steel rolled 300-series for buyers of China’s domestic market (the cost per ton of the product in the price list of Baosteel will increase to $115).Recall that a few days ago about the adjustments to the August prices for austenitic stainless steel relating to 300-series, was reported by colleagues Baosteel, the Chinese company Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group. The offer of this manufacturer the above mentioned products have risen in price to 77 dollars per ton. It is noteworthy that a few weeks earlier, the company announced the reduction of price-list prices on stainless steel: in early July, specialized media reported that Tisco reduces the cost per ton of product series AISI 304 $154 per ton. Stainless steel grade 300 refers to corrosion resistant alloys used in various branches of engineering as structural material. The advantages of stainless steel in this class include the high strength of the metal, combined with good ductility. This steel belongs to a generic brands of corrosion resistant alloys and is the most popular grade of stainless steel available.
