SMC North America increased sales of semi-finished products from aluminum

According to the statistics, the level of sales

semi-finished products from aluminum service centers (SMC) in the territory

North America in July of this year has increased for the first time in a few months. To

that — according to specialized media in the region has shown a continuous decline of this

indicator.

In the USA supplies steel service centers in July 2013

increased by 5.5% in comparison with June of the same year, and by 5.7% in comparison with

July of last year. So, last month the above mentioned rate reached

the level of 128.6 thousand tons. In comparison with January of the current year, the level of sales

semi-finished products of aluminium increased by 5.2% since the beginning of the year in the country

it was sold 867 thousand tons of products in this category.

As for Canada, in the country of shipment service

centers reduced in July of this year by 3.4% (in comparison with June

2013) and increased by 0.3% (in comparison with July of last year). So, for

reporting period this figure stood at 12.4 thousand tons. In General, for

seven months of this year, the canadian service centers were sold

over to 92.3 thousand tons of semi-finished products of aluminium, which is almost 3.7% higher than

the figure for the same period last year.
