Sheet, strip 1.4980 - alloy A-286

Supplier — AvekGlob Company — offers at a reasonable price from the manufacturer sheet and tape, which are made of alloy A-286 (1.4980). A timely delivery of metal products to any address specified by the customer is guaranteed.

Technical specifications

A-286 alloy (1.4980) is a low-carbon austenitic stainless steel with an increased content of chromium and nickel, which is distinguished by increased heat resistance: strength properties and corrosion resistance are preserved up to temperatures of 680… 700 0 C. The steel is additionally alloyed with titanium and vanadium. The A-286 designation according to the AISI / SAE-660 standard, while according to the UNS specification, the steel under consideration is classified as S66286. The commercial name of the product is Pyromet®. At lower values of mechanical stresses, the alloy successfully operates also at higher temperatures. The mechanical properties of this alloy are determined by the optimal combination of heat treatment and annealing regimes.

Urgency of application

This alloy has excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation and is designed to maximize creep and stress break properties, with a certain reduction in strength. Steel A-286 (1.4980) can reach high levels of strength after aging after cold deformation, and therefore is used for the manufacture of high-temperature fasteners and springs. This alloy is also used in gas turbines for manufacturing low-pressure blades and turbine wheels of the first and second stages, as well as in the production of nozzles, exhaust valves and collector closures.

Chemical composition

In accordance with the technical requirements of the UNSS66286 specification, steel A-286 (1.4980) includes the following elements (numerical data — in percentages):

Areas of application, technological features and assortment

Hot forging and stamping of A286 (1.4980) alloy is used to produce increased diameter fasteners. Welding A-286 is performed mainly for thin-walled products, as the material is prone to stress corrosion cracking.

Stainless steel grade A-286 (1.4980) is available in various rolling profiles, as well as in forgings.

Supplier — AvekGlob Company — offers to buy sheet or tape, which are made of stainless steel A286 (1.4980) at a price formed on the basis of European and world standards of production. Buy these products can be wholesale and retail. For regular customers, there is a flexible system of discounts.
