Basic properties

Oval titanium wire can not exceed the diameter limit deviations. Wire produced in degassed and etched condition. The surface of the welding wire should be bright, clean, no tint, reproterol and dark spots. On its surface allowed small tears with dark nepotrivite. The surface may have minor risks, tears, sunsets depth, which should not exceed given in table.

The diameter of the wire VT20−1 SV In the wire brand VT20−1 SV the depth of the defect should not be more than

3,0 0,5
3,5 0,6
4,0 0,6
5,0 0,7

Note. On the surface of the wire allowable presence of certain defects in the depth when the diameter of wire up to 3.0 mm, exceeding the limit of 0.1 mm When the wire diameter over 3.0 mm — 0.2 mm.

The total number of macrosections exceeding the marked depth of the defects during metallographic control should not be more than 10% of the total number of macrosections of a controlled party. The fix surface contamination and defects produced by etching and Stripping to degassing of the wire. Then allowed to sweep only a single local pollution. It allowed the etching separate bays with further re-degassing.

Supply

The wire is wound in coils, the outer diameter of which does not exceed 900 mm. Welding wire in the Bay may not have agglomerated with each other turns or bends more than 100°. Associated with the annealing bays waviness of the wire, not a rejection symptom. Mass Bay with the wire should not exceed 50 kg If the Bay is made up of several pieces, the length of each piece shall be not less than 10 meters.

Mechanical characteristics of welding wire shall be as specified in table requirements.

Markings:

Each Bay has a fixed label:

-the legend of the wire;

-names of the manufacturer and trademark:

-batch number and melting;

-date of issue;

a hallmark of technical control;

the designation of the present standard.

Packaging

Each coil should be tightly tied up with the titanium soft wire in at least three places and Packed in clean paper, and on top wrapped in burlap. Acceptable wrap the Bay leaf from synthetic fibers or plastic film whose thickness according to GOST 10354−82 is from 100 to 200 microns without pre-paper packaging. Bay in a package tied with twine made of synthetic and natural fibers according to normative-technical documentation.

Weldability:

weldability with limitations — welding is possible when heated to a temperature of 100−120 °C and further heat treatment
without restrictions — welding is carried out without further heat treatment and without heating
hard-welded — to obtain a quality weld, additional operations: during welding -preheating to a temperature of 200−300°C, heat treatment after welding — annealing
