Manufacture of capacitors
Tantalum capacitors are typically manufactured by pressing tantalum powder to produce granules that are sintered in the furnace to form a porous body and then subjected to anodization in a suitable electrolyte to form a continuous dielectric oxide film on all internal and external surfaces of the sintered porous body. The pores in the thus obtained anode are then filled with a cathodic electrolyte. After that, the entire anode body with the filled pores is sealed to form a condenser.
